Columbus, OH — The LIBRE Initiative Action, Ohio’s largest center-right Latino political organization, launched a new ad campaign urging Ohio voters to support Jon Husted for U.S. Senate. The spot is part of a $1.5 million Ohio buy that complements new creative launched by sister organization Americans for Prosperity Action, bringing a coordinated freedom-focused message to voters across the state.
The 30-second “We Work Hard” ad speaks directly to Hispanic workers, small business owners, and families across Ohio who are putting in the hours but watching Washington eat away at their paychecks. It draws a clear contrast between Jon Husted, who is committed to getting government out of the way, and Sherrod Brown, who has stood by as his party pushes an agenda that would make it harder for Ohio’s Latino families to get ahead.
Ohio’s Latino community is no longer a bloc either party can take for granted. With roughly 235,000 Latino voters making up over 3% of the state’s population, Hispanic families are positioned to shape the outcome of one of the country’s most closely watched Senate races, and LIBRE Action is meeting them where they are.
Lair Marin-Marcum, LIBRE Action Ohio Advisor, released this statement:
“Ohio’s Latino families work hard for everything they have, and they deserve a U.S. Senator who fights to let them keep it. Instead, Sherrod Brown has supported higher taxes, more spending, and more government control that hits working families the hardest. Jon Husted is different. He’s committed to getting Washington off the backs of hardworking Ohioans so they can keep more of what they earn and achieve the American Dream. LIBRE Action is proud to stand with him.”
