LIBRE Action, AFP Action Endorse Four State Legislative Candidates Ahead of November Election

Las Vegas, NV — (8/26/26) The LIBRE Initiative Action and its sister organization Americans for Prosperity Action today endorsed four candidates for the Nevada State Legislature that are ready to deliver results for working families, small business owners, and taxpayers.

From Las Vegas to Reno, Nevada families are absorbing some of the steepest housing and utility increases in the country — a squeeze felt especially hard in Latino households — while small business owners navigate a tax and regulatory environment that too often works against them. LIBRE Action’s and AFP Action’s endorsed candidates have pledged to change that by championing policies that make it easier to launch and grow a business, put more money back in workers’ pockets, and give parents the power to choose the education that fits their children best.

Endorsed candidates for the 2026 election include:

State Senate

  • Maria Thompson (Senate District 9)
  • Rafael Arroyo-Montalvo (Senate District 12)

State Assembly

  • Rebecca Edgeworth (Assembly District 35)
  • Kelly Chapman (Assembly District 41)

Eddie Diaz, Nevada Advisor for LIBRE Action, released the following statement

“Hispanic families across Nevada are working harder than ever just to keep up, and they deserve elected officials who are actually fighting for them in Carson City. Thompson, Arroyo-Montalvo, Edgeworth, and Chapman have shown they’ll put working families first — pushing for lower costs, better schools, and a fair shot for every small business owner chasing the American Dream. LIBRE Action is proud to stand with them, and we’ll be in Latino communities every day between now and November making sure our voters know who is on their side.”

Ronnie Najarro, Senior Advisor for AFP Action Nevada, released the following statement:

“Nevada families don’t need more from Carson City — they need Carson City to stop getting in their way. These four candidates get that. AFP Action is proud to stand with LIBRE Action behind them, and our activists will be working every day between now and November to put them over the top.”

These endorsements land in districts anchored in some of Nevada’s largest and fastest-growing Latino communities — including Clark County, home to the vast majority of the state’s roughly 1 million Hispanic residents. Statewide, Hispanics account for around 30% of Nevada’s population — one of the highest shares in the nation — making Latino voters a decisive force in the state.

The LIBRE Initiative Action and Americans for Prosperity Action will mobilize their grassroots network of volunteers across the state to engage voters ahead of the November election through door-knocking, community events, and voter education on the policies that will lower the cost of living and expand opportunity for every Nevada family.

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Tonight, The LIBRE Initiative Action (LIBRE Action), Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action), and Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) congratulated its slate of endorsed candidates on their wins tonight. AFP Action, LIBRE Action, and CVA Action endorsed Republican nominee for governor, Byron Donalds, in MarchApril, and March respectively, with AFP Action also endorsing seven statehouse candidates who won tonight.

Sandra Benitez, senior advisor for LIBRE Action, added:

“Congratulations to Congressman Byron Donalds on his victory in the Florida Republican primary. Florida’s Hispanic community is one of the largest and most influential in the country, and Hispanic voters will play a critical role in shaping Florida’s future. We are proud to support Congressman Donalds because he has consistently championed policies that expand economic opportunity, reduce burdens on hardworking families, and empower Floridians to build a better future. As we head toward November, we look forward to seeing Hispanic voters engaged in the political process and making their voices heard on the issues that matter most to their families and communities.”

Skylar Zander, AFP Action senior advisor for Florida, released the following statement:

“Byron Donalds ran a campaign grounded in real solutions — tackling the challenges that matter most to Florida families: attainable homeownership, education freedom, insurance reform, and fiscal responsibility. Florida Republicans saw a leader with a proven record and rewarded him with a decisive primary win tonight. AFP Action is thrilled to congratulate Congressman Donalds, along with our full slate of state legislature candidates who also won their primaries tonight. These are principled leaders who will fight for Florida families, and we’re proud to have stood behind them.”

John Vick, senior advisor for Concerned Veterans for America Action, said:

“Congressman Donalds’ victory reflects the confidence Florida voters have placed in his vision for the state, and we congratulate him on this win. Veterans know that leadership is proven through service, accountability, and the willingness to take on tough challenges. Donalds has consistently demonstrated those values, and he recognizes the unique strengths veterans bring to their communities. We are confident he will champion policies that improve Florida’s affordable housing crisis for veterans and working families, advance educational freedom to expand training and credentialing opportunities that help veterans translate their service into meaningful careers, and strengthen fiscal oversight to ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and effectively for all Floridians. Concerned Veterans for America Action was proud to stand with him in this race, and we look forward to his continued leadership as Florida moves toward the general election in November.”

LIBRE Action Congratulates Mike Rogers on Winning the Republican Nomination for U.S. Senate

LANSING, MI — The LIBRE Action tonight congratulated Mike Rogers on winning the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Michigan.

Ricardo Castro, The LIBRE Action – Michigan Strategic Director, released the following statement:

“Mike Rogers was the right choice in tonight’s primary election, and he is the right choice on Election Day in November. Mike understands that too many Michigan families are struggling with the cost of everyday necessities and that the right answer is NOT more government but rather empowering everyday Americans with opportunity, lower costs, and economic growth. Latino families, like all Michiganders, want policies that make it easier to build a better future not harder to make ends meet. We look forward to driving conversations with voters across the state about the importance of lowering costs, creating more economic opportunity, and ensuring every family has the freedom to achieve the American Dream.”
