Grassroots Political Latino Organization Will Mobilize Nevada’s Latino Population for Candidates
(Las Vegas, NV) – Today, The LIBRE Initiative Action announced its support for several candidates running for elected office in this year’s election, including April Becker and Mark Robertson for the U.S. House Representatives and Joey Paulos, Tina Brown, Tiffany Jones and Rhonda Knightly, candidates for the Nevada Legislature.
The LIBRE Initiative Action, is a group committed to working with anyone to advance positive policies that promote the wellbeing of Nevada and the Hispanic community across the country.
Eddie Diaz, advisor to The LIBRE Initiative Action, issued the following statement following the endorsements:
“The Latino community in Nevada is being stretched because of Washington policies marked by runaway spending, unnecessary regulations, and higher taxes. Many of us know how this movie ends because we have fled countries in Latin America where the government grew too big and made it difficult for hard working people to get ahead and provide for their families. We cannot allow that to happen here in Nevada.
This is why we are proud to announce our support for April Becker and Mark Robertson – two outsiders who are committed to bringing fresh energy to Washington to expand opportunity and prosperity for all.”
Diaz went on to add:
“We are also excited about endorsing Joey, Tina, Tiffany, and Rhonda to serve in the Nevada Legislature because they are all committed to supporting pro-growth economic policies to ensure that all Nevadans – including the state’s Latino community – can thrive in a growing and vibrant local economy. Now more than ever, we need leadership in Carson City that will allow taxpayers to keep more of their hard-earned money to save, spend, and invest as they see fit.
In addition to expanding economic freedom, the Latino community in Nevada needs increased educational freedom so that more and more families are able to customize their child’s education. It’s clear that we are still reeling from the negative effects from COVID-19 on our educational system and it’s why we need Nevada lawmakers to expand educational freedom in every corner of our state.”
