LIBRE Action Mobilized Latino Voters in Support of Gov. Ron DeSantis and Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar in Re-election Victories

Latino Political Group Knocked on Nearly 180K Doors and Made More than 145K Calls

(Tallahassee, Florida) – Today, The LIBRE Initiative Action, a group committed to working with anyone to advance positive policies that promote the wellbeing of the Hispanic community, issued a statement congratulating Gov. Ron De Santis and Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar for winning their respective reelection races.

The LIBRE Initiative Action activists knocked on nearly 180K doors and made more than 145K phone calls to energize Hispanic voters in Florida in support of DeSantis and Salazar.

Juan Martinez, advisor to The LIBRE Initiative Action, issued the following statement following the respective electoral wins:

“Latino voters in Florida know that good policy does not happen by accident and is why the Sunshine State is seen as a beacon of freedom and economic mobility. It takes bold leadership from our elected officials and a commitment to bottom-up solutions and a belief in people – and not big government.

In his time in office, Gov. Ron De Santis has enacted pro-growth economic policies to expand opportunity and prosperity for all. And in Washington, South Floridians know that that they can count on Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar to take on big issues for our country – including ways to improve our country’s broken immigration system.

We are happy to have supported both Salazar and DeSantis and look forward to working with them in Tallahassee and Washington to improve the lives of all Floridians.”

LIBRE Initiative Action Unveils Small Business Coalition in Support of Juan Ciscomani

Latino Political Group Will Help Mobilize Latino Vote in Support of Ciscomani

PRESS RELEASE 10/19/2022
(Tucson, AZ) –  Today, The LIBRE Initiative Action, a group committed to working with anyone to advance positive policies that promote the wellbeing of the Hispanic community, unveiled a coalition of Latino business owners, entrepreneurs and job creators who plan to support Juan Ciscomani – a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona’s 6th congressional district.

The small business coalition will be chaired by Lea Márquez Peterson, an entrepreneur, and a former president and CEO of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of commerce.
Co-chairing the coalition will be Jaime S. Chamberlain, president/owner of Chamberlain Distributing Inc., importer of Mexican Fruits and Vegetables, and former Chairman of the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas, an organization representing American importers who market over 5 billion dollars’ worth of Mexican produce thought North America.
Jaime has been in the produce business in Nogales Arizona for 35 years. He is the current President/Owner of Chamberlain Distributing Inc., a 51-year-old company established by his family in 1971. He is currently the Chairman of the BOD of Greater Nogales Santa Cruz County Port Authority and serves on the Boards of Tucson based SUN CORRIDOR Inc., and the Executive Board of Directors of the Arizona-Mexico Commission as Secretary and Co-Chairman of the Ports and Infrastructure Committee.

Chamberlain was named 2015 Hispanic Business Man of the Year by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The coalition will also include eight other Tucson Hispanic small business owners who are creating jobs and opportunity for the local Tucson community.

Lea Márquez Peterson and Jaime S. Chamberlain issued the following statement after announcing the small business coalition:

“The small business community is the backbone of Arizona’s economy. Unfortunately, Washington’s policies are making it increasingly harder for small business owners and entrepreneurs to grow and expand. We desperately need new representation in Washington to ensure that small business owners and local job creators can thrive and prosper. When this happens, we all benefit.”

Peterson and Chamberlain continued:

“Juan Ciscomani has a proven track record of fighting for small business owners throughout his professional career and know that he will push back against reckless spending, higher taxes and unnecessary red tape stifling economic productivity. Arizona small business owners cannot thrive under the current Washington leadership. Juan Ciscomani is the leader small business owners in Arizona desperately need.”

NV Candidates Receive LIBRE Action Endorsements for U.S. Congress and State Senate and State Assembly Candidates

Grassroots Political Latino Organization Will Mobilize Nevada’s Latino Population for Candidates

(Las Vegas, NV) –  Today, The LIBRE Initiative Action announced its support for several candidates running for elected office in this year’s election, including April Becker and Mark Robertson for the U.S. House Representatives and Joey Paulos, Tina Brown, Tiffany Jones and Rhonda Knightly, candidates for the Nevada Legislature.

The LIBRE Initiative Action, is a group committed to working with anyone to advance positive policies that promote the wellbeing of Nevada and the Hispanic community across the country.

Eddie Diaz, advisor to The LIBRE Initiative Action, issued the following statement following the endorsements:

“The Latino community in Nevada is being stretched because of Washington policies marked by runaway spending, unnecessary regulations, and higher taxes. Many of us know how this movie ends because we have fled countries in Latin America where the government grew too big and made it difficult for hard working people to get ahead and provide for their families. We cannot allow that to happen here in Nevada.

This is why we are proud to announce our support for April Becker and Mark Robertson – two outsiders who are committed to bringing fresh energy to Washington to expand opportunity and prosperity for all.”

Diaz went on to add:

“We are also excited about endorsing Joey, Tina, Tiffany, and Rhonda to serve in the Nevada Legislature because they are all committed to supporting pro-growth economic policies to ensure that all Nevadans – including the state’s Latino community – can thrive in a growing and vibrant local economy. Now more than ever, we need leadership in Carson City that will allow taxpayers to keep more of their hard-earned money to save, spend, and invest as they see fit.

In addition to expanding economic freedom, the Latino community in Nevada needs increased educational freedom so that more and more families are able to customize their child’s education. It’s clear that we are still reeling from the negative effects from COVID-19 on our educational system and it’s why we need Nevada lawmakers to expand educational freedom in every corner of our state.”

PRESS RELEASE 09/14/2022
(Tucson, AZ) –  Today, The LIBRE Initiative Action, a group committed to working with anyone to advance positive policies that promote the wellbeing of the Hispanic community, announced its support for Juan Ciscomani – a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona’s 6th congressional district.

Fernando Gonzales, advisor to The LIBRE Initiative Action, issued the following statement shortly after making the announcement:

“The Arizona Latino community is hurting because Washington has been on a reckless spending spree contributing to a debilitating inflation that’s making it harder to make ends meet. We need new leadership in Washington to change course by enacting pro-growth economic policies that will make it easier for all Americans – including Arizona’s Latino community — to find work, see their wages grow and provide for their families. Juan Ciscomani understands the urgency to act to rein in government spending and expand opportunity and prosperity for all.”

Gonzales went on to add:

“Besides addressing economic opportunity, Arizonans are also demanding that Washington act to fix our country’s immigration system. As a border state, Arizona must deal firsthand with Washington’s inability to enact legislation that both improves border security and improves our country’s immigration system. Juan is prepared to lead on immigration once he gets to Washington and deal urgently with this critical issue for our country and local community.”

Yesli Vega is The Best Candidate for Latinos in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District

Grassroots Organization Will Mobilize Virginia’s Latino Community to Vote

Arlington, VA—The LIBRE Initiative Action-Virginia today endorsed Yesli Vega (VA-7) for U.S. Congress.

The LIBRE Initiative Action (LIBRE Action) is a group, with roots in Virginia, committed to working with anyone to advance positive policies that promote the well-being of the Hispanic community.

Michael Monrroy, advisor to LIBRE Action-Virginia, issued the following statement in support of Yesli Vega:

“We’re proud to endorse Yesli Vega, a Prince William County Supervisor, and like many in our community, she is the daughter of immigrants. But, most importantly, Vega knows the power of the American Dream and the proper role of government—limited. Currently, that Dream is being threatened by every act of government overreach and burdensome regulation. The big-government approach and reckless spending are having detrimental effects on our economic opportunities. Vega will work to restore the government to its proper size and scope and restore the American Dream by supporting policies that empower the American people to work together to solve the greatest challenges facing our nation, from the bottom-up. From now through Election Day, LIBRE Action will be conducting voter outreach in Virginia’s 7th congressional district to mobilize Latinos in support of Yesli Vega.”
